Description
The desert wind howls a mournful song across the crimson dunes, whispering tales of forgotten empires and shimmering mirages that lead only to despair. Above, two suns bleed into the horizon, painting the sand with hues of fire and blood. This is Xylos, a world sculpted by hardship and forged in the crucible of survival.
You are not born into power here. You are born into need. A need for water, for shelter, for protection from the sand wyrms that burrow beneath the surface and the raiders who prey on the weak. You are a scavenger, a nomad, a survivor scraping a meager existence from the bones of a dead world. Your family, the remnants of a once-proud tribe, huddle around a dying fire, their faces etched with worry. The last well has run dry.
The tribe elder, her eyes clouded with age but still burning with fierce determination, looks to you. "Our ancestors walked these sands for generations. They knew its secrets. You must find water, young one. Find the Oasis of Whispers. Legend says it holds enough water to sustain us through the scorching season."
She hands you a worn leather waterskin, nearly empty, and a crude map etched onto a piece of scavenged metal. The map is faded, its markings cryptic, but it offers the only hope. The journey will be perilous. You will face sandstorms that swallow men whole, rival tribes vying for dwindling resources, and creatures beyond your wildest nightmares.
But the fate of your family, of your tribe, rests on your shoulders. You must learn to navigate by the stars, to decipher the whispers of the wind, to trust your instincts, and to fight for every drop of water. You must become more than just a survivor. You must become a leader.
Before you lies the vast, unforgiving expanse of Xylos. What will you do? Where will you go? And, most importantly, how will you survive? Your story begins now. Choose your path wisely, for in Xylos, every choice can be the difference between life and death. The wind is waiting to carry your tale. Will it be a tale of triumph, or a lament for a forgotten people lost to the sands?
