Description

The wind howls a mournful dirge through the skeletal branches of the Whisperwood. You pull your threadbare cloak tighter, the biting chill seeping into your bones despite the meager fire sputtering before you. You haven't felt truly warm in weeks. The Blight has seen to that. The Blight… a creeping, corrupting force that chokes the land, turning verdant fields into barren wastelands and twisting living things into monstrous parodies of their former selves. It started small, a patch of dead grass here, a withered tree there. Now, it's a ravenous maw, consuming everything in its path. You are Elara, a Whisperwood Scout, or rather, what remains of one. The Order has been decimated, their strongholds overrun, their wisdom lost to the encroaching darkness. You were on patrol when it happened, returning to find the familiar landmarks twisted and grotesque, your comrades… changed. You carry with you the last fragment of hope, a single, unbroken seedling of the ancient Sunwood, said to possess the power to banish the Blight. It's a heavy burden for one so young, a responsibility you never asked for. But there is no one else. Your journey will be perilous. The Blight has twisted the land, turning familiar paths into treacherous labyrinths. Monstrous creatures, driven mad by the corruption, stalk the shadows. And even more dangerous are the Blighted – those humans and creatures who have succumbed to the Blight's influence, their minds broken, their bodies contorted into weapons of destruction. Your survival depends on your wits, your skill with a bow, and your knowledge of the Whisperwood. You must scavenge for resources, learn to craft what you need, and make difficult choices that will determine the fate of the land. But more than that, you must cling to hope. You must remember the beauty that once was, the promise of a future free from the Blight. Because if hope dies, then all is truly lost. The seed waits. The land suffers. Your journey begins now.
