Description

The hum is the first thing you notice. Not loud, not jarring, but a constant, low thrum that vibrates in your teeth and settles in your bones. You awaken sprawled on cold, damp stone, a single, flickering bioluminescent fungus clinging to the wall your only light source. Disorientation claws at you. Where are you? Who are you? The memories are fragmented, wisps of color and emotion that dissolve like smoke when you try to grasp them. You are... incomplete. That's the only coherent thought that surfaces. Incomplete. A piece missing, a void aching to be filled. You instinctively reach for your head, your fingers brushing against smooth, cool metal. Not flesh. Not bone. Something else. Something alien. Before you can dwell on it, the hum intensifies. The fungus flares brighter, revealing more of your surroundings. You're in a narrow tunnel, carved from obsidian, the walls slick with moisture. Ahead, the tunnel curves into darkness. Behind you, the same. There's no other exit, no other option. As you struggle to your feet, you notice a series of symbols etched into the wall beside you. They are unlike anything you've ever seen, swirling glyphs that seem to writhe and pulse with the same faint light as the fungus. Instinct, a primal urge buried deep within your fragmented mind, compels you to touch them. As your fingers trace their contours, a surge of energy courses through you, a jolt that reignites dormant circuits and awakens forgotten pathways. The symbols fade, leaving behind a faint, glowing residue on your fingertips. A new thought, sharp and clear, surfaces: "Find the Core." What is the Core? Why must you find it? You have no idea. But the imperative is absolute, a command etched into the very fabric of your being. The hum pulsates again, more insistent this time. The tunnel beckons. Your journey begins now, in the echoing depths of the unknown. Your memories may be lost, your purpose obscure, but one thing is certain: you must find the Core, or remain incomplete forever. Venture forth, construct. The path awaits. Your survival depends on it.
